Terms of Service

The rules of the road for using the PRISM simulation engine, API, and platform.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account, accessing the PRISM API, or using the PRISM visual canvas (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you agree to these Terms on behalf of that organization and represent that you have the authority to do so.

2. Description of Service & Disclaimers

PRISM is an observability and simulation tool designed to estimate costs, latency, and accuracy of AI system pipelines.

Important Disclaimer regarding Simulation Accuracy: All simulation results generated by PRISM—specifically cost projections, latency waterfalls, and accuracy scores—are benchmark-based estimates and stochastic models. They are not ground truth. We do not guarantee that your actual production costs or latencies will exactly match PRISM's projections due to provider fluctuations, unmodeled network constraints, or changes in third-party API behavior.

3. Accounts and Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and PRISM API keys. You agree not to share your API keys in public repositories or client-side code. You must notify us immediately if you discover any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Subscription, Billing, and Overage

PRISM offers Free, Pro, and Team tiers. By subscribing to a paid tier, you agree to pay the monthly or annual fees associated with that tier.

  • Overage: Paid tiers include a set number of simulation runs per month. If you exceed this quota (e.g., via automated CI/CD runs), you will be billed a standard overage rate per additional simulation run at the end of your billing cycle.
  • Downgrades: You may downgrade your plan at any time. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing cycle. Downgrading may result in the loss of features (such as PDF exports or unlimited pipeline variants).

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. Specifically, you must not:

  • Attempt to bypass or manipulate the PRISM rate limits (e.g., 20 requests/minute on the Free tier).
  • Scrape, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the underlying Monte Carlo distribution parameters or proprietary pricing databases from our public endpoints.
  • Use the public benchmark API or demo endpoints to build a directly competing product.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PRISM and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. We are specifically not liable for unexpected third-party AI provider invoices that deviate from our simulation models.
